Blog articles for Jel-Kép

The purpose of a professional blog post is to present current issues, research results or practical applications of communication science in a clear and understandable way, yet with scientific rigor.

The post should be structured and clearly structured: a short, attention-grabbing title, an introduction that formulates the topic and its relevance, then logically structured content, and finally a summary or thought-provoking conclusion.

It is important to be understandable, avoid excessive jargon, but at the same time maintain authenticity and accurate references.

The style should be enjoyable and reader-friendly, even supplemented with examples, infographics or visual elements. (In the case of images, infographics, visual elements, it is expected that there should be alternative text for accessibility purposes, which clearly describes what is seen in the image or visual diagram and how it relates to the content of the article in relation to the use of screen reader software.)

The entry should not only inform, but also encourage interaction: questions, the opportunity to comment, and recommendations for related content all help the dialogue.

Finally, the form and content should reflect the professional standard of the journal, while remaining open to a wider readership.

We welcome blog entries in three categories:

  • From our bookshelf: we welcome reviews, book reviews, and book recommendations here.
  • Commlab: we welcome professional analyses for the professional discourse of communication research here.
  • Good practice: we welcome applied communication articles here.
